portrait of Lisel Lisel was born in the city, but from an early age would spend her summers with her grandmother in Iron Valley. The trainride into the valley was one of the most magical parts of her summer, and the valley itself seemed to be almost a dream. However, her parent's divorce soured her memories and caused her to withdraw into herself.

Her friendships in the city and her anger at her mother meant that she did not take that train ride again.

After finishing University, she was unable to find a job in her field and became a cashier at the local supermarket. She had kept in contact with her grandmother, but her death devestated her just the same as she re-contextualized her memories of the Valley and the childhood friends she had there.

The summer of her parent's divorce, she had promised she would return. With her grandmother's old house falling to her, she decided to come back to the valley and start up a new life and bring her grandma's house back to life.
